Sometime late evening of Tuesday, 5/18 our Boulter Field was heavily damaged.
Someone drove their car onto our freshly groomed and painted field and did doughnuts at both ends of the field above each goal box.
The damage is significant and will cost WSA $1000’s of dollars to repair and groom back. Not only was the field torn up but to complicate manners the underground sprinkler system has been severely damaged as well. Many man hours have been spent over the past few days trying to get the field back to a minimum playing condition.
It’s shame that this has had to happen just as our outdoor season has begun and with our upcoming tournament. WSA will be hosting 300 teams in the tournament this year and some will be traveling here from as far away as Florida.
Those who have attacked our field have also attacked every player that uses that field. WSA, the Junior Football leagues, both Schroeder and Thomas High Schools all use this field. Going forward extra measures will be put in place to keep our fields secure at all locations.
If anyone has any information on whom might be responsible for this vandalism we ask them to contact WSA at 671-7730 or the Webster Police Department. A police report has been filed and those responsible for this damage will be prosecuted and WSA will seek restitution for the damages.
Please spread the word to neighbors and family in the community.
