WSA will be accepting application for referees starting 3/1/2008 until 4/15/2008. Individual must have the desire to work with children on the soccer field and be available to referee games in June and July. WSA requires all referees to be at least 14 years old by 5/1/2008. As a referee you will be representing WSA on the pitch. Your duty on the field is to control the flow of the game while ensuring that the young participants enjoy the game and learn from it. Applicant must have a current Grade 8 or higher status with the Western New York Referee Association (WNYRA).

Games are schedule to begin at 7pm and last about an hour. Referees will need to arrive by 6:45pm to start pre-game duties. Each location will have a commissioner for support if needed. Scores will only be recorded in completive games (if applicable, referees will report scores to the commissioner).

With a Grade 8 or higher course you will also be eligible to referee the WSA Lakefront Classic tournament (6/13-15/2008).
