Coaches Expectations
All Coaches will. . .
- Actively be working towards the attainment of a USSF D License. All Head Coaches will at minimum possess a USSF E Certification no later than 12 months from their commencement date.
- Attend club-sponsored coaching development classes and monthly Coaches Sessions.
- Conduct training sessions that are age appropriate with regard to player expectations and space.
- Follow the provided club curriculum when conducting training sessions throughout the season
- Conduct a minimum of 1 training session weekly during the indoor season. During the outdoor season, a minimum of 2 sessions will be conducted; with a maximum of 4 sessions, including games.
- Have a written plan in place at least 30 minutes prior to the training session that can be reviewed with the Assistant Coach and/or Director of Coaching (DOC).
- Attend all scheduled training sessions, league and tournament games. If the coach is unable to attend any of the above mentioned he/she will notify the DOC and find a suitable replacement coach at least 24 hours prior to the event.
- Hold a parent meeting at the beginning of each indoor and outdoor season to address the upcoming season’s expectations, schedule, etc.
- Not, under any circumstance, be affiliated in any way or capacity other than as a parent or spectator with any Premier or travel club other than WSA.
- Provide the player and his/her parents a written evaluation at the end of the indoor and outdoor season. All evaluations will be turned into the DOC no later than May 1st for the indoor season and August 1st for the outdoor season. A player evaluation form can be found at www.webstersoccer.com under the Forms section.
- Dress in an appropriate manner for all WSA functions and events.
- Always exhibit a manner which is conducive to that of a role model and a true professional.
- As a coach, I will take full responsibility for my actions. At all WSA-related events I will encourage my team’s players, parents, and fans to display positive and orderly actions.
